Katie was born in Neenah, Wi and after High School graduation, she decided to attend the local college. After a year, college was not the right fit for Katie but she knew she loved people so she went into the medical field taking care of mentally disabled adults. She decided to moved closer to her work in Kaukauna, and started a part time job at a bar. Again, people always being the focus of what she loved at work, she began full time bar tending but the night life was getting old, and she was looking for something more stable. She decided to give it a try at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic and has not looked back! She has always loved animals but appreciates the relationships between people and their furry family members. Katie enjoys being able to assist people on the phone, and in-person, to be able to help them best take care of their animal. It is exceptional to be appreciated and enjoy coming to work every day.
Outside of work Katie enjoys camping, cheering on any local sports team, and spending time with her family that lives near by. She loves being with friends and also binge watching The Office. Katie is a lover of all animals but currently has two cats, Charlie and Albert, as well as a betta fish named Chuck. She can’t wait to see where life will take her while working at Apple Valley Vet!

I have been married for 35 years and have 2 daughters and 4 grandsons. I have always loved working with animals and fell in love with Siberian Huskies even before we got our first one in 2000! Since that time we have rescued many dogs and put together a recreational dog sled team from the 14 dogs we had at one time. We never won any races but had lots of fun and met great people! The “team” is retired now and I have 4 dogs, Rohan, Quinn, Koda & Molly Brown. I also have an African Grey Parrot named William Wallace and a cat named Bella. I am a crazy college football fan and a life long, die hard Michigan Wolverine fan! You can always find me watching them play on any given Saturday during the season.
I have worked in several different fields including working in 2 different prisons as the grievance coordinator for the inmates, as well as different positions in the animal world.
When I am not watching Michigan play, I also enjoy being outside with my husband and my dogs – even “Wally” the parrot when it is warm enough- listening to music. (Wally loves to dance) we all love camping and hiking too!
Bio coming soon!
